Every point opens.

Most apps that score anything ask you to trust the score. This one cannot afford to: the thing being scored is what one person did for another, and a number nobody can interrogate in that position is not a measurement, it is an opinion with a font.

So every contribution stores its own receipt — each coefficient, what it was, and the running total — and the receipt is always one tap from the place the contribution was logged.

What is in it

The formula is six things multiplied together, and the receipt names all six.

• Base score — what this kind of action is worth in the shared catalog. The same everywhere, so a household chore is worth the same to everybody.
• Couple weight — 1.0 unless the two of you approved a profile, which either of you can decline alone.
• Effort — how much it took, this time.
• Context — what was going on around it.
• Impact — what your partner said it was worth when they confirmed it. Not what you claimed.
• Repetition — which time this week this was. The fourth load of laundry is not the first load of laundry.

The part that matters most is whose opinion `impact` is

It is the recipient’s. The person who did the thing does not get to say what it was worth to the person it was done for.

That single fact is what keeps a score from being one partner’s estimate of the other, and it is the reason solo mode — one person keeping the record for two — carries no scores at all. With one reader that rating does not exist, and anything computed without it would be exactly the one-sided archive this product exists not to make.

A score that already happened never moves

The receipt is frozen at the moment it is written, along with the version of the formula that produced it. We can improve the catalog, add actions, change what something is worth going forward — and nothing you already logged shifts underneath you.

A week is a thing that happened. Its target and its timezone are frozen onto it too, so the week you reviewed in February still reads in December the way it read then.

It is free, and it always will be

The receipt is not a paid feature and it is deliberately not even expressible as one — there is no entitlement in the code for a screen to start checking. The same is true of quiet mode, the settings change log, and logging in your own words.
